As an HR professional, Preeta was used to recruiting talent, but little did she know that while interviewing Abhishek for his first job, she was also interviewing her future life partner. Talk about finding talent for life!

Growing up in households where ‘waste not, want not’ wasn’t just a saying but a way of life, we were raised with a deep appreciation for mindful living. While our families might not have called it sustainability back then, the practice of using resources thoughtfully was woven into our daily lives. From creative reuse of containers to careful water consumption, these early lessons later became the foundation of something bigger than what we could have imagined.

The Lightbulb Moment

It was during a vacation – one of those rare moments when you have time to notice the little things – that everything changed. As Abhishek, ever the curious observer, began reading product labels in their hotel bathroom, a pattern emerged. Every bottle, whether shampoo, face wash, or moisturizer, listed water as the primary ingredient. For someone raised to question wasteful practices, this revelation was both surprising and inspiring.

“Why are we paying to ship water around the world? Why are we diluting powerful ingredients? There has to be a better way,” This wasn’t just a passing thought – it was the seed that would grow into USE-LESS Beauty®.
